LoE Wing 2 : Uldaman
Welcome to the Legend of the Innkeeper. We’re glad you could join us for our 71st episode.
This week we are talking about… LOE wing 2
What did you do this week?
Special Guest: Espo the Teacher
Top card from the wing:
Vastidious – Ethereal Conjurer and Unearthed Raptor
Ariannwyn – Unearthed Raptor
Espo – Unearthed Raptor
- Images discovered for upcoming Tavern Brawls
- In the latest patch there were some interesting tidbits related to some possible upcoming brawls. First were some references to a deckbuilding brawl where players grow their decks as they play. There were also 5 different images that leave all kinds of questions behind. Links to the images here:
We finally get to see the treasure that was hidden away for the last 4 weeks!
This is a pre-constructed deck from hero of your choice. You will then pilot a deck full of 2 mana 2 / 3 Pirates against another player. Each turn you are shown 3 cards from the class you choose or the full neutral collection.
Second Wing: Uldaman
Brann Bronzebeard – League member who leads this part of the journey.
The first Trogg is Chieftain Scarvash – (30 health)
He pulses auroras that interrupt your abilities.
If you defeat him, you get:
[Tunnel Trogg] – 1 mana, 1/ 3 minion, Whenever you Overload, gain +1 Attack per locked Mana Crystal (Shaman)
[Ethereal Conjurer] – 5 mana, 6/3 minion, Battlecry: Discover a spell (Mage) NOTE: Discover is only Neutral or the Class cards.
[Mounted Raptor] – 3 mana, 3/2 Beast – Deathrattle: Summon a random 1-Cost minion. (Druid)
It’s a Class specific mini-Shredder
Next battle is unique. You hop into a mine cart to escape the Troggs to get into the center of Uldaman. Master the minecart. Cards like bombs, weaving left or right, or Barrel Forward (1 mana, Get 1 turn closer to the Exit!)
When you complete that you get:
[Tomb Spider] – 4 mana, 3/3 Beast, Battlecry: Discover a Beast. (Neutral or Class specific to what class you are playing)
[Unearthed Raptor] – 3 mana, 3/ 4 minion, Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion, Gain a copy of its Deathrattle effect. (Rogue) – Can copy Sylvannas’s Deathrattle!
Then you face Archaedas – (30 health)
He summons a bunch of useless statues on both sides of the board.
[Fierce Monkey] – 3 mana, 3 / 4 Beast, Taunt (Warrior)
[Reliquary Seeker] – 1 mana, 1/1 minion, Battlecry: If you have 6 other minions, gain +4/+4 (Warlock)
[Keeper of Uldaman] – 4 mana, 3 / 4 minion, Battlecry: Set a minion’s Attack and Health to 3. (Paladin)
[Excavated Evil] – 5 mana, Deal 3 damage to all minions. Shuffle this card into your opponent’s deck. (Paladin)
Then you get the card:
[Brann Bronzebeard] – Legendary – 3 mana, 2 / 4 minion, Your Battlecries trigger twice.
Hints and Tips
This is handled in the Email below
Last Hero standing w-1 ban (similar to 2014 Blizzcon WC)
Season 19’s final rankings for the Americas region were released the other day by Blizzard. The interesting thing I noticed about the list is that there isn’t any player that I recognize other than Admirable. A bunch of fresh names (at least for my casual eyes).

Emails: 1 – Question for LOTI – Ryan Rudder
Just wanted to say I really enjoy listening to the podcast, especially while I am at work. Been playing Hearthstone off and on for almost a year now. I played for a bit when TGT came out but quit until last week when the League of Explorers dropped. I was quickly reminded how much I really enjoy the game. I think the reason why I would stop playing for months at a time is I took all the losses hard and would always get frustrated. Kinda funny, Tavern Brawl was the most annoying part as I never won a brawl and would always get frustrated. I didn’t play it a lot but I think you guys know how annoying losing streaks can be lol.
I was away from the game when I heard the latest adventure mode came out and promptly bought it. I am really having fun with it but I think the biggest reason for my renewed optimism and enjoyment from the game comes from advice that Espo gave about just having fun. I really think that is the key. I am playing mostly Warrior right now with Magni (I can’t stand Grommosh) and really enjoy it.
Now I have a question. I just figured out how to craft cards. Do I need more than 2 of any card? Hearthstone says I can dust a bunch of my cards but I am reluctant to do it. If I have two of any card, let’s say Hoot Hoot, can I put two Hoot Hoots in all of my decks? I have a lot of cards that I have over 4 or 5 and I wonder if I should just dust them? Hopefully I stated this with confusing anyone.
Also, one last question: What are some of your favorite card arts in the game (I tweeted you guys earlier)? The awesome card art (and card backs) are another reason why I am growing addicting to this game. Been watching Trump play Priest the past few days and I really dig the Cabal Shadow Priest and Auchenai Soul Priest card art.
Thanks for the podcast and all the info you give out on a weekly basis. This game is great and I think it only gets better the more fun you have. thanks! BTW: I have won 2 straight tavern brawls!! unbelievable!!
May your blades never dull,
Jeremy: LOTI traveled with me today along California’s central coast. The coastline is Big Sur and the Elephant Seals are in San Simeon. Thanks for keeping me company on a long but beautiful drive LOTI. Sorry my screen doesn’t show up better in the photos, it’s sunny here in California!
